From September 2018 to March 2019, Speech Project was a weekly meet up of 10 teens who laughed, discussed, snapped pictures, drew, painted, chatted, danced, designed, ate snacks, and told stories together. The sessions took place at Davenport-Perth Neighbourhood and Community Health Centre (DPNCHC), a multi-service agency located in Toronto’s West End. Participants from different areas and high schools across the city came together to create comics based off of their personal narratives.
